Webinar – 28 Feb 2024

We will be hosting a free webinar with a panel of editors of peer-reviewed journals. Four invited editors will discuss their views on peer reviewer duties and responsibilities and the impact they have on the journal and academic world. The webinar will also inform attendees about peer reviewing opportunities.

Editors come from a range of journals, including Evidence Based Library and Information Practice (Canada), College & Research Libraries (USA), NIALS Journal of Intellectual Property (Nigeria), Folia Toruniensia (Poland), New Review of Academic Librarianship (UK), and Performance Measurement and Metrics (UK). Topics of discussion will include criteria for peer reviewer selection, roles and responsibilities of peer reviewers, ethical responsibilities, and the benefits of peer reviewing for a journal. Details about the editors and journals can be found here.

This session also provides a great opportunity to come together with other library and information professionals who are interested in the publishing landscape. If you are interested in learning what peer reviewers do, what the perks of being a peer reviewer are, and how to become one, please do consider attending one of these panel sessions, which will be run by the LibPMC Community Building sub-group.

Registration is now closed. A meeting link will be sent closer to the day of the event. Please contact us at info@libraryperformance.org with any queries about the webinar.

Workshop – Jan 2023

Conference Proposal Support

Ahead of this year’s LibPMC, we are offering conference proposal writing support sessions. These online support sessions will guide you through how best to approach preparing your proposal for submission to the LibPMC 2023 conference. During the session we will talk about the different types of submission (i.e. written paper, lightning talks, mini-workshops) and how to ensure that you include the essential elements by which the proposals will be evaluated. Each session will last approximately one hour.

There will be opportunities to start to draft your proposal as part of the session and for general discussion about the proposal submission process.

These sessions also provide a great opportunity to come together with other library and information professionals who are interested in library and information services performance measurement. If you are a first-timer wondering how best to approach preparing your proposal, and interested in connecting with other colleagues, please do consider attending one of these initial support sessions, which will be run by the LibPMC Community Building sub-group.
